In obedience to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ to assemble ourselves together in His name as members of His Body, the Church; and, recognizing our responsibility to preach His Gospel to all men everywhere, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit; Teaching them to observe all things He has commanded us, and, recognizing the inspired and inerrant Word of God, the Holy Bible, as our rule of faith and practice.

We do hereby adopt the Statement of Faith of Eastlake Community Church to guide Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy.  This Statement of Faith covers our beliefs with respect to key elements including Faith in the Holy Trinity, The Father, The Son of God, The Holy Spirit, The Sufficiency and Full Authority of the Holy Scriptures for Salvation, God's Purpose for Humanity, Marriage and the Family, Personal Choice (for Salvation), The Atonement, Repentance and Faith, Justification, Regeneration and Adoption, Good Works, Sin After Regeneration, (Sanctification: Initial, Progressive, Entire), The Gifts of the Spirit, The Church, The Sacraments: Baptism and the Lord's Supper, The Second Coming of Christ, The Resurrection of the Dead, The Judgment of All Persons, and Destiny.
